Youth and beauty are not accomplishments.

So I’m sorry that I haven’t been super active this week but I’ve had some stuff going on of my own. Normally every Monday I post a Hottie of the week shot but I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my own body image and how the whole hot guy post culture contributes to it.

Instagram is another culprit too. I recently unfollowed a whole bunch of hot guy feeds because Instagram had stopped being a happy place for me to hang out. I just ended up looking at wave after wave of shirtless guys thinking… I ย wish I looked like that.

So today I am announcing the end of the Hottie of the week posts.

I’ve always wanted this blog to be a safe place, hence why I don’t share porn or post porn on it. Posting meaningless pictures of hotties and contributing to some kind of warped view of Gay beauty isn’t what I want on this blog any longer.

So the hottie of the week post is being replaced by a Heroes of the week post. Each week I’ll post some awesome person or persons that I have found inspiring.

Carey Fisher said it best!

Youth and beauty are NOT ACCOMPLISHMENTS, they’re the TEMPORARY happy bi products of Time and/or DNA. Don’t hold your breath for either. If you must take Air take Garys.

We’ll console ourselves by looking at the two “Heros”.

Good to see that I’m not the only guy that looks at those photos and think the same and for that reason I don’t view them anymore and I must agree that Instagram has become pretty much a eye googling meat market with no means of purchase lol. I am happy with my body how it is can’t fix what I should have done many years ago. With one exception of course no need to mention here who i make that exception for lol. Be well and safe babe. Peace and Love xx

There is always a hottie on this site and that’s you buddy. It’s not just by your looks but also by the internal reflection and the ability to display that to the world says a lot about you.
Your heart and soul are also a part of the beauty of you.

I feel people are too sensitive in today’s age. I see a gorgeous person, male or female, and admire the effort they had to put in to achieve or maintain it.
It gives me something to try and achieve without feeling guilty, sad or depressed if I don’t. If I see someone with a PhD or MD I don’t feel less about myself because I don’t have a tertiary education – I see it as something that you can achieve if you want to. I see no reason why good looks or a rocking body shouldn’t be seen in the same light.
How I look doesn’t define myself or anybody else and if someone spends hours a week in a gym trying to achieve the peak of physical perfection I’m not going to shame them for it just because I don’t have the confidence in loving my own body as it is.
Beauty is an accomplishment if you had to work your ass of to get it. Just like everything else.
