Pool Day.

I had a day off yesterday and I have been dying for a swim for the last two weeks. The Goldcoast Aquatic centre is the perfect place and it felt amazing to be in the water after the gym. I had a nice bake under the sun and then had Chinese food for dinner.

I didn’t think I would ever have the chance to wear my Little Rok swimmers when I bought them in the UK but here I am getting my fill of the sun and the heat. Following summer around the world agrees with me and I’ll have a nice tan when I head to the UK hehe.

As my work schedule gets more and more demanding I am finding that I am enjoying being more spontaneous with my free time. I used to spend a lot of time chilling on the couch and taking selfies at the gym but now when I have time to myself I really want to make sure that I use that time wisely and to enjoy the things that really mean something to me like pool days and time at the beach, the harder I work the more important my down time is becoming.

I think spontaneity in my life is part of what keeps me feeling like I am in control. When I want to do something for myself and I just get up and do it, it makes me feel like I am getting the most out of my time. I get fidgety now just sitting on the couch pretending there is nothing to do. I think the warmer climate has a lot to do with it too, I’m more active and more energetic. When the weather is cold and wet it’s easy to just stay inside and play CIV V.

I’m about to take a two week break from work and head back to Melbourne with a short stint in Sydney. I want to use that time to catch up on a few things and maybe go for a few hikes around Melbourne. Hopefully the cold in Melbourne won’t dent my spirits too much, then its back to the Goldcoast to complete my current contract.

good to see ya showing off those trunks in the pool πŸ™‚ it looks like you had the pool all to yourself.

yea I would have to agree with the CIV V comment. sometimes that game can take a day away and things you had planned just didn’t get done. oops
