I’m eating less meat and I feel great.

So I recently made the decision to start eating less meat.

There are a couple of reasons why.

Firstly all those preachy vegan posts about animal cruelty and sustainability finally got to me.

Secondly eating less meat is making me feel great and feeling great is a hobby of mine.

I’m not going to preach to you all about it. I always hate those people who use guilt as a way to make you feel bad about what’s on your plate. I say eat, drink and be merry. I’m not eliminating meat entirely and I still eat eggs and cheese but I’m trying to make more mindful and ethical choices about how I exist in the world and what I eat is one of the things that I can control.

So far this week I have only had a little fish and thats it. I feel ace and although I have found it hard to satisfy my appetite I’m sure thats more about food education than not getting enough. I have also added protein shakes to make sure that I am getting enough protein and a multi vitamin for the moment while I see how I go.

So relax I won’t be trying to convert you all but I am going to start talking about how the change is going for me and how I feel so that if any of you are starting to think about making a change in your diet I will be your guinea pig.

We all know I love a Lamb chop so here’s to all my preachy Vegan and Vegetarian friends… Dammit you got me!
